NOTE: Each  sending Organization can send 1(One) Female and 2(Two) males for each project.

Apart from participating the above categorical physical work, volunteers would participate social-cultural festivals and occasions, entertaining games and events with community schools as well as with the people for better interaction and exchange of views, ideas and making friendship.  The volunteer will also have free time to enjoy excursion and sight seeing around Bangladesh within the assignment of voluntary service. They would also facilitate to explore their vision to navigate Bangladeshi traditional heritage, language and culture. 

BACK GROUND OF THE PROJECT:

BWCA has been organizing local, National and International Workcamps on different need based issues of community development service. The projects nature are socio-economic and cultural development, health and environmental, education and motivational,  promotion of understanding and solidarity between local and international through mobilizing volunteers from local and abroad since 1958. It has been organizing 5 to 10 International Workcamps in a year and also there are some scope to accommodate Medium and Long Term Volunteers in various social development project which are being operated by it’s unit and partner organizations in Bangladesh.

BWCA has been started to establish a basic pilot Project like “Volunteers Training Center” (VTC) which would help to train more people to be a VOLUNTEER and help the community people to get benefit through it’s voluntary effort.  The VTC project is now needed to establish its infrastructure of the project components like project office, training hall, dormitory, rooms for health service, rooms for income generating projects etc.,  The first phase of the VTC project is to develop the whole land area with earth filling, fencing the surrounding area, tree planting, planting grass in & around the project through the following LMTV projects: Volunteers are to develop every work component by group or team work basis effort. Therefore, we welcome volunteers to apply for any sort of program with their commitment of at least 2 (Two) months duration. We would like to provide them a complete international atmosphere where they can enjoy better interaction, exploration of culture and heritage, language, friendship and promotion of solidarity among the team members. Volunteers would contribute their voluntary effort to the project according to our program designed along with their leisure and excursion during the assignment.

PROJECT:

The work of the volunteers would be depended on interest of the volunteers and the project is on going according to the development plan / program of the project. In order to carry out the project component a group of volunteers would get opportunity to join the program/assignment. Beside, volunteers may involve themselves in any kind of development work of the on going project. Overseas volunteers would work with the help of skilled/professional together with local volunteers. Volunteer have to render his /her voluntary effort 5 to 6 hours a day and 6 days in a week.

APPLICATION INVITED:

Application accepted in any time of the year and the assignment would be treated from as and when volunteers join the project. Volunteers are preferred to continue their assignment at least 2 (two) months from the date of joining the project.   

PROJECT  COMPONENTS AND

VOLUNTARY  ACTIVITIES: 

In terms of the development of the whole project VTC  there are series of project activities would be carried out by the voluntary effort with the help of some professional and skilled labor. Subsequently major part of the work effort would be mobilized through RTYP/MTV  and short term workcamps. So number of volunteers would get opportunity to put their voluntary effort towards the development work of the project VTC.  

The project for the MTV / RTYP volunteers would be the total development of the land area of the VTC project (recently raised by earth filling). The series project works are :

01)  Planting verities of saplings (timber, fruit and herbal),

02) Constructing different shades and rooms for project components like Offices, dormitory, training hall, dinning hall and shades for Cow, poultry, duck, goat, hatchery and fish processing etc., 

These component’s  construction work would take place phase by phase with in 3 (Three) year of project development life. According to the fund availability and volunteers mobility we will select the component to do in course of time. Every component needs subsequent team work composing 5 to 10 volunteers for every project.

Volunteers for Medium Term work would join different on going projects during their assignment for 2 (Two)  to 3 (Three) months or for more time.

Registration and food subsidy charge would be required according to the criteria of MTV /RTYP recruitment announcement at the web site.

Other existing work components like Teaching English, helping disable people/child and Office assisting would remain unchanged.

Application for MTV /RTYP would always be acceptable in any time of the year.
