:: Bangladesh Work Camps Associations ::
Bangladesh Work Camps Association (BWCA) is a voluntary youth organization which has been working in various fields that includes helping communities, NGOs and others to help them learn how to cope with natural hazards, by conducting local, national and international workcamps since its inception in 1958. There is a scheme stating
"learning while working and living together", which is aimed towards the young generation around the world. The fields of the projects include social welfare, rural development, community and organizational development, health care, blood donation, eye camp, environmental conservation, helping in administration, mobilizing resources and participating many other possible activities of similar nature in all over Bangladesh. BWCA organize short-term workcamps with duration of 10-15 days each year during October - March.
This short-term program makes the opportunity among the participants to explore a friendly atmosphere, navigation of international understanding and exchanging ideas & opinions through a teamwork effort. It also provides an opportunity for integration with a new society, culture, tradition and life style of Bangladeshi rural and urban people. There is an opportunity to enjoy tourism facilities around Bangladesh before or after the program with the help of BWCA, if any body interested.

RTYP (Round The Year Program) ( a Medium term voluntary program for round the
year) BWCA has also been conducting “Round
The Year Program” (RTYP) in association and collaboration with the local
partner organizations in rural and urban area with a minimum assignment of 3
(three) months. Both type of Workcamps and RTYP are open to every
volunteer on the principle of trusteeship, which means every one to participate
in its activities according to their interest and desire for an adventure. This
way, every program is almost self-reliant and self-supporting. This has enabled
us to work on independent philosophy, plan of action within the laws of the
country.
"KNOWING & ENJOYING BANGLADESH"
(a three to six weeks tourism program around any where
in
Bangladesh) As BWCA has undertaken an exclusive tourism program for guiding
overseas tourist in Bangladesh. Interested overseas people who prefer and
looking for cheapest & adventuring traveling, we welcome them in Bangladesh any
time they want to apply henceforth. It is also open for the volunteers before or
after joining any voluntary activities (Short or Medium term project) Please
