This being my final evening here in Bangladesh. I am finding it very difficult to describe how I feel about me people here and this wonderful place. In just two short weeks I have come to love your wonderful country and perpetually smiling faces.

Thanks to every body who was involved with me inaugural eye camp in Patiya. What an amazing feeling Ô working together Ô people from many different countries Ô with different religions, beliefs, and coloured skin Ô you have warmed my heart.

I have learned that to dream alone is not enough Ô & to truly make a difference in this world takes encouragement, compassion and hope.

Thanks for being you, sharing your stories + all your help Ô our world needs more people like you guys Ô SPECIAL ONES.

Thanks for making my stay in Bangladesh great ! I had a wonderful time during the Workcamp. I think it was a great success: installing latrines and helping patients and doctors during the Eye Camp was a wonderful experience. I made a lot of new friends, both international and Bengali.  Volunteering was a great way to really get to know Bangladesh.

The food, people, and everything else were the best. I especially want to thank you for the birthday party you  threw for me.

Thanks for everything !

Take care, and keep in touch !

I have been in Bangladesh just since 4 months and half, none the less I have learn so many things that never I would be able to get in the same time in France.

I am not say that Bangladesh is a beautiful country owing to the lack of human rights and in particular according to children and women, al though in other side. I am convinced heart and mind of bengali people are very more wealth than those ones of most societies.  I have devoted a deep feeling for bengali villages where people are so genuine and their look so pure, they give you more than they have for themselves. I have spent a very good time in Patiya, with NOWZUWAN (a partner of BWCA), although, sometimes, I have had some difficult to accept to be the man attraction every where I went. I have found in Patiya a new family very big family with a lot of Apaa (sister), bhai (brother), Bhabi (wife of brother), khala (sister of mother), dadi-dadi (grand mother), nana-dada (grand father) .....! and never I will forget them.

I think if I did not come in Bangladesh as a VOLUNTEER never I would have been able to gain this kind of relationship. In your country is not easy to travel alone in particular for young woman and also, I would like to thank (a lot of) BWCA to have given me this opportunity. Although I came here as a volunteer, by lack of abilities and in reason of language's problems I could not help you and in fact you have brought me more than you can imagine.

So I would like to apologize me to not have been able to make something and in one sense to have failed to my volunteer's duty.

Nonetheless, I can gather a lot of information about bengali situation, for the moment I have got a plenty of ideas to improve it but not enough experience, so if I would manage to work in international relationship as I wish, I hope to be able to help you.

Thanks you for all the things, my trip here was a very instructive informal school.

Here I am, at the very end of my living here – I ‘m feeling strangely. I spent five months in Bangladesh and I have developed a sincere respect for people I met during that time, NGO’s staff who are doing a brave work and Mr. Rahman who does worth all my admission. I could learn so many things about this country, its culture, its people, Islam and about me: that I can stand and not as well as many other things….. I do feel myself to leave now because I shared lots of impressions with some persons here. I stayed enough time to never forget you and I ‘ll try to come back after some time as a "real tourist" or for my future job, why not ?

At last, I keep in my mind all the good things lived here, I advise every one to do RTYP voluntary service and thank you every body, especially Rahman whose help and kindness were always here when I was faced with troubles.

Don’t forget me as I won’t forget you.

This was my first visit to Bangladesh. I like this country very much. Especially the people are very friendly and thankful.

We were working in the Eye Camp in Chakaria. It was very interesting to see that it is possible to work with little equipment and with out a large amount of money.

We learned a lot about Bangladesh culture, food and every thing els.

Dear Mr. Rahman, thank you for accommodation and food. Thanks for your hospitality.

Good bye ! Bangladesh. I will soon see you again !

It was a wonderful time in the Workcamp. We saw much from country and people. we learnt much about the rules of living and behaviors. I hope the trees we planted will bring good roots in your country. We hope that the next volunteers will join such a well mixed group and have such an interesting and colorful time, like we had.

Thank you to all the helpful hands of all the NGOs which helped BWCA to make the Workcamp successful.

Thank you to BWCA once again.

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to see and meet Bangladesh from so close. I have seen so much which I could.’t have seen when I was only travelling around, like everyday life in the village, the cooking demonestration, other projects. I met some nice people from different countries including Bangladeshi. It was a great experience to work together on the Workcam: installing toilets and work at the eye camp.

I want to thank you all for your warm welcome. You (Rahman, Hoque, BRIF members) were so friendly and helpful. I will not forget that nearly everything was possible. I learned a lot about people, other cultures and had a lot of fun !!

After staying two months in India it was very interesting for me to see the differences between those two countries - which were once one. Participating the Eye Camp in Chakaria, Cox's Bazar was a great opportunity to get to know about the operation for cataract clearance.

And because of the good leisure program which BWCA was providing us, we could also visit some tribal villages in the Chittagong Hill Tracks. I would like to thank BWCA and the local organization for making all these experiences possible to me !

The kindness and hospitality of Bangladeshi people I will always remember.

My two weeks here have been exactly what I wanted (and needed) them to be. It is so easy to become caught in life in the USA that consists of desk jobs and high stress and rat races. It's good to remind oneself of how the rest of the world lives: walks through rice paddies to school with impromptu cricket matches and sick cows and thousands of "HELLOS" (giggle, giggle).  Bangladesh is a place I could never forget. It will always be in my memory. They work that y'all are doing is so wonderful. I feel honored to have played a part in the team of local and foreign volunteers in the eye camp and in the "trenches".

Good luck with you're future work. I hope to see y'all again at some point. The work camp experience was so wonderful, I can't think of a better way to come back.

Love and luck,

To the members of the BWCA,

I would like to thank every one from the bottom of my heart for all of their hard work and good effort to make this Workcamp as nice as possible. The workcamp went very well but the best part about the last 2 weeks was the people. The volunteers and the rest of the BWCA staff worked so hard to make us comfortable in our new surroundings and it really means a lot to me. I will surely recommend the workcamp to all of my friends. Not only did I learn a lot about Bangladesh. I also learn a lot about myself. It is so good to have times in your life when you have a change for such personal growth.

Thank so much for the chance to come to Bangladesh. It was a wonderful experience.

I would like to thank BWCA and the other Organizations involved for making my visit to Bangladesh a rewarding experience. This was my first trip to Asia and a Muslim country and although sometimes stressful it was a joy to see and experience the culture and the differences. Together, we also discovered many common bonds and made friendship together.

Best of luck in the future. I hope BWCA continues working for the good of Bangladesh and also continues to promote global friendships. I sincerely hope I can someday return and see how the program develops as well as all the individuals involved.

Thanks again for all the kindness !
